The Rev. Dr. James McClure group of coins were super fresh and locked away for anywhere from 80-120 years ago. It is almost like a time capsule on what collecting was like in the early 1900's. The quality of the Seated coins, as expected, was mixed. There were some early circulated Bust coinage that were really nice for what they were. The coins from the 1920's were probably picked out of circulation. I hope they keep the pedigrees intact as this was one of the very rare instances where brilliantly white coins from this era are actually stone cold original.
